Gunkan maki, or battleship maki, is boat-shaped sushi. Nori is wrapped around rice and then topped with fillings such as roe, uni, salmon or tuna.

Futomaki are thick sushi rolls with 4-5 ingredients inside. They are traditionally served on special occasions such as New Year’s celebrations or weddings but I make them every time I make sushi!
